6K - $40K a year 2 days ago 2 days ago 2 days ago SUMMARY The Admissions Coordinator is responsible for ensuring The Last Resort's admission process is as accessible, accommodating, and seamless as possible for clients, family members, referents, and TLR staff.
Outstanding customer service and telecommunications skills are essential in this position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following and other duties may be assigned:
Handle admissions calls in accordance with The Last Resort's organizational policies and procedures.
Assist with creating, improving, implementing, and maintaining admissions policies, procedures, and systems.
Gather proper client information to assist the Executive Director, Medical Director, and designated QCC for the purposes of admissions authorization.
Act as a liaison between clients, families, referents, and staff to ensure the admissions process is comfortable and seamless as possible for all parties involved.
Assist the admissions team in taking inquiry phone calls 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
With primary schedule being weekends and evenings.
Work directly with referral sources.
Protect patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines and standards.
Follow up with Referred Out clients/families, to ensure that they got they needed, and keep record of which referrals landed at referred facility.
Perform all functions commonly associated with substance abuse admissions calls.
Work cross-functionally with team members including other Executive Director, Director of Business Development, Billing/Finance, Clinical, and other internal support functions.
Provide high quality resource support to staff and treatment team.
Oher duties as assigned LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Able to navigate a computer and use basic software.
REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
